Instagram Video Downloader

Baixargram keeps it simple: paste the link of a public Instagram video and save it as a clean MP4, at the same quality it was uploaded with. Nothing to install, no login, and no maze of pop-ups between you and the file.

How to download Instagram videos

Feed video, an old post, a Reel or something saved to Highlights: the process is the same and takes well under a minute. You do not need the file — only the video's address. The tool fetches the original straight from Instagram's servers and hands it back without re-encoding.

Copy the video link

Open the video in the app and tap the three dots above the post. On iPhone the menu appears over the video; on Android it sits in the top-right corner. Choose Copy link. On a computer, click the three dots next to the video in the feed and select Copy video link. The copied address starts with instagram.com/reel/ or instagram.com/p/.

Paste the link and hit Download

Come back to this page and paste the address into the field above — on mobile, press the field and tap Paste; on desktop, use Ctrl+V or Cmd+V. Tap Download and give the link a moment to be read, usually two to five seconds.

Pick a resolution and save

Unlike a photo, a feed video is usually available in more than one quality. After you paste the link, the page shows the thumbnail, the duration, the file size and the available resolution — normally 720p and 1080p. Pick the largest, tap Download video and the file is saved on the spot. On iPhone, the MP4 lands in the Files app under Downloads; on Android, in the Download folder of internal storage. For large files in Safari, the video may open in a new tab instead of downloading: tap Share and then Save to Files.

Download Instagram video in HD (1080p)

Instagram does not keep the file you uploaded. Every published video is transcoded for streaming, and the server holds one or more compressed versions — usually 720p and 1080p. When you record your screen, you are grabbing exactly the player's version: already downscaled and compressed a second time.

Baixargram fetches the largest version published on the server and delivers the MP4 with no re-compression on our side. In practice that means 1920×1080 instead of a screen copy, and none of the quality loss that appears when a video is screen-recorded and re-encoded.

As for the limits that belong to Instagram, not to us:

Resolution limits: Instagram’s, not ours

  • the upload already reduces most 4K footage to at most 1080p on the long side;
  • the bitrate varies by format — the same video can carry different bitrates in the feed and in Reels;
  • very old videos sometimes only have the 720p version live, and in that case 720p is the real maximum that exists.

We do not promise 4K. We promise the best file that is published — and that is the one we deliver.

Feed video, Reel or IGTV: what is the difference?

This is the question that decides whether the link you have works on this page. The three formats use the same player and the same kind of address, but they were born in different corners of the platform.

A feed video is the video published on the profile, in the same place as a photo. It is permanent, shows up in the grid, carries its own audio and tends to run much longer than a Reel. It is the format of interviews, lessons, recipes and podcast clips.

Reels is the short vertical format, built for the discovery feed. It gets its own treatment inside the app and its address starts with instagram.com/reel/. If all you want to save is a Reel, use the Instagram Reels downloader — the process is identical, but that page deals with that format specifically.

IGTV no longer exists as a separate format. Instagram discontinued it in 2022, and content published there became Reels or feed videos. An old instagram.com/tv/ link can still open in the browser, and this page can read that address too — but inside the app, that video already appears as a regular post.

What are Instagram videos?

Video is the heaviest format on the platform today. Published in the feed, it stays on the profile permanently, with audio, an optional caption, likes and visible comments — unlike Stories, which vanish in 24 hours, and Reels, which circulate through recommendations.

Because they are public and have a fixed address, feed videos can be opened by link even by people who do not follow the profile. That is why we can fetch the file from the address alone, with no login. Instagram describes the formats at about.instagram.com.

One practical note: if the video you want to save is a Story, this is not the path — Stories have their own access rules and lifetime.

How to copy a video link

  1. Open the video until it fills the screen.
  2. Tap the three-dot icon — on iPhone, above the video; on Android, in the top-right corner.
  3. Tap Copy link.

On a computer, click the three dots next to the video and choose Copy video link. The copied address starts with instagram.com/reel/ (Reels) or instagram.com/p/ (feed video), and it is that complete address you paste into the field above.

If the Copy link option does not appear, it is almost always because the profile is private: in that case there is no public address, and no tool can download from the outside.

Long videos, audio and large files

Two points almost nobody explains before you try.

Audio. The video is delivered with the original audio track of the post, with no substitution and no muting. If the audio is licensed music chosen by the author, it comes as it is in the file — we add no tracks and remove none.

Large files. A ten-minute feed video can exceed 80 MB. On iPhone, Safari imposes a memory limit on script-driven downloads; when a file passes that limit, the page opens the address directly in the browser instead of assembling the file in memory. That is why the video sometimes appears in a new tab: tap Share and then Save to Files. On Android and on desktop the download is direct, with no extra step.

Private accounts. We do not download those. Private-profile content has no public address, and any site promising otherwise is asking for your login — do not give it.

Key features

  • Best published resolution. We deliver the highest-quality MP4 that exists on Instagram's servers, with no re-compression on our side. It is the same file the player plays, only complete.
  • Original audio preserved. The file carries the audio track of the post, not a substitute. Works for narration and licensed music alike.
  • Feed, Reels and old posts in one field. A single address covers every video format, with no separate page for each case. Years-old /tv/ links work too.
  • Free, no sign-up. No email, phone number or Instagram account required. Recipe creators can archive their whole library without creating anything.
  • Works on iPhone, Android and desktop. No app to install, no extension to enable — the browser already on the device does the job.
  • No download limit. Save as many videos as you need, at your own pace. Handy for archiving lessons or long interviews in series.

Do I need to log in?

No. Baixargram never asks for your Instagram account, email or phone number. The only data this page receives is the video address you paste — nothing is sent to Instagram on your behalf, and no session is opened under your identity.

Can I download in HD (1080p)?

Yes, when that is the highest version the server keeps. Most published videos top out at 1080p on the long side; Instagram itself does that reduction at upload time. Some older videos only have a 720p version available, and that is what you get — no upscaling, no invented resolution.

Is the audio included?

Yes. The MP4 arrives with the audio track the post was published with. We do not remove audio and we do not add a track of our own. On Reels with licensed music, the audio comes exactly as it plays on Instagram.

Can I download videos from old feed posts?

Yes. Feed videos do not expire — unlike Stories — and the address of a post stays valid for years. As long as the post is live, you can paste the link and download, even if it was published long before you ever heard of this tool.

Is there a duration limit?

We impose none. What limits you is Instagram itself: the file format available and the size of the original video. Long feed videos can produce large files, and on iPhone Safari may open the address in a new tab instead of downloading directly — in that case, use Share → Save to Files.

What file format do I get?

MP4, which opens natively on iPhone, Android, Windows and macOS, in any common player or editor. It is the same format Instagram keeps on its servers, and we do not convert it to anything after the download.
